Waiter Dreams of Business after Hitting Jack pot

A Kimisagara waiter has become the latest winner of the Airtel Rwanda’s Nikirengaa promotion.

Francois Mugiraneza, a waiter in Kimisagara a suburban area of city of Kigali was announced the lucky winner of Rwf1.2 million in Airtel Rwanda’s nIkirengaaa promotion.

“I once thought of a business but then I asked myself where I will get the money?” said Mugiraneza while receiving his check on Wednesday.

He adds, “I always dreamt of having my own business and this time the dream has come true,’ the Jolly waiter noted.

Accordingly, the waiter becomes the 16th winner of the promotion with Clement Cyemezo, an entrepreneur also winning over Rwf1million in the promotion that has seen the sector’s number three splashing millions of money back to subscribers.

“Airtel customers can win 300 percent bonus and daily cash prizes of up to Rwf1.5 million,” said Michael Adjei, Airtel Rwanda’s new managing Director.

Also, through the promotion two lucky subscribers are able to win a fully paid holiday trip to Serena Hotel in Rubavu district in a helicopter from Kigali Airport to Kamembe Airport.

But the promotion came at the time the operator is embroiled in a downsizing of the company employees which analysts say is as a result of the poor revenue performance of the company, which the operator denies.
