Ambassador Olivier Nduhungirehe is on working tour all Belgium districts meeting with Rwandan diaspora community to discuss different aspects pertaining their livelihoods in the European country.
The ambassador today met the Rwandans living in Charleroi where they convened on what they have achieved so far in the years they have been in that country, challenges the met every day and their prospects.
Amb. Nduhungirehe narrated how, Rwandans in Belgium and the diaspora can use their different enormous resources to develop themselves in that country and also their native home, Rwanda.
In Charleroi, discussions centered on need to invest in the country, forging associations that produce interest, to have investment groups, business society and other activities that associates can have productive.
Charleroi district leadership was also at the moment in which it was allowed the district can also be part of the Genocide mourning.
“In regard of our culture we teach and remain firm on language telling our children the history of Rwanda,” he said warning Rwandans in Charleroi to avoid people trying to instill hate of the government in Rwanda.
The Rwandan ambassador said that he wishes to have Youth Rwanda Day held in Belgium so that people can know where Rwanda is and is willing to be.
His first visit to the district was on October 1 in Mons, in Hainaut province, and he will be in Luxembourg on October 19, Gang three days after, on October 29 in Liege, Namur on November 26 and Leuven on December 3 in country that is host to an estimated 35000 Rwandans.
